So, you've got yourself a Joey Sofa, huh? Lucky you! Now that your living room has a brand-new scene stealer, it’s time to make sure it stays looking as fabulous and fresh as the day you unboxed it. Don’t worry—it’s as easy as lounging on it. 🛋️

About that Corduroy

Your Joey Sofa’s fabric isn’t just any fabric—it’s corduroy with a 75,000 Martindale rating. ✨ Now, we know that number sounds fancy (because it is), but here’s the gist: your sofa can handle a serious amount of wear and tear. Whether it’s jumping around, wrestling or pillow-fights, it’s made for fun and comfort.

Flip It Inside Out

Whether you’ve spilled popcorn during a movie marathon or your pets have made themselves a little too comfortable, your sofa is built for life’s little messes. Just unzip the covers and toss them in the wash.

But hold on—there's a trick to it. Before you throw those covers into the washing machine, turn them inside out! This simple move helps protect the outer layer of the fabric, especially that soft, corduroy goodness. It's best to wash at no more than 30°C using mild or extra gentle detergent. 🫧

Gently Does It

For spot cleaning, apply 10-20ml of mild or gentle detergent solution with a bit of water on top of the stain. Then use a soft bristle brush to clean the fabric. Remember, we’re going for gentle here—no harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers allowed. 🧽

The Sun is Not Your Friend

Once washing or cleaning is done, let the fabric air dry naturally. Avoid using a tumble dryer and do not dry under direct sunlight as it will cause the fabric colour to fade. 🙅‍♀️☀️

Let’s Smooth Things Out

For any crease marks, apply a bit of water on the area and use an iron of 110°C. Alternatively, you may use a garment steamer as well. Avoid ironing at a high temperature as that will change the fabric’s colour.

Fluff and Rotate

For the mattress and cushions, give them a little love, too. Fluff them up every now and then to keep them nice and plush. If your sofa’s getting a bit too comfy in one spot (we see you, favorite corner), try rotating the mattress and cushions to even out the wear. Your back and butt will thank you for it. 💙
