The original Joey Mattress is made from J-Foam, a foam we engineered ourselves and produce in our own factory in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. More than 86,000 Malaysians sleep on Joey today.
Where is the Joey Mattress made?
The Joey Mattress is made in Malaysia, at Joey's own factory in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. J-Foam, the foam inside the original Joey Mattress, is only produced there. Warranty repairs are handled at the same factory.
How much does a Joey Mattress cost?
The original Joey Mattress starts from RM1,350, and the price goes up with size. The Joey Mattress Hybrid, sold only at Mattress Makers showrooms, is RM2,095 for a Single, RM2,295 for a Super Single, RM2,595 for a Queen and RM2,995 for a King. You can pay in full or split it into 0% interest instalments of up to 24 months.
Can I try the Joey Mattress before I buy it?
Yes, in two ways. You can try the Joey Mattress, Joey Mattress Hybrid, Joey Mattress Topper and Joey Sofa in person at our Mattress Makers showrooms in Subang Jaya and Sungai Buloh (Selangor) and Johor Bahru (Johor). The Johor Bahru showroom also has the Joey Foldable Mattress on display. Addresses, opening hours and directions are at mymattressmakers.com. Every Joey mattress also comes with a 99-night home trial, so you can sleep on it in your own bedroom and return it for a full refund if it isn't right for you.

Is the Joey Mattress good for hot weather in Malaysia?
Yes. The original Joey Mattress is our coolest option. It is made entirely of J-Foam, with no memory foam and no latex, and its open-cell structure lets air flow through the mattress while you sleep. The Joey Mattress Hybrid uses latex and memory foam for extra contouring, under a naturally cool, breathable viscose cover. If you tend to sleep hot, start with the original Joey Mattress.
Does the Joey Mattress have memory foam or latex?
It depends on the model. The original Joey Mattress has no memory foam and no latex. It is made of two layers of J-Foam: an 8cm comfort layer on a 15cm high-resilience support layer. The Joey Mattress Hybrid does use 100% pure Malaysian latex together with memory foam, and comes in three firmness levels: Plush, Medium and Firm.
How long does a Joey Mattress last?
The Joey Mattress comes with a 10-year limited warranty that covers sagging deeper than 1.5 inches (3.8cm) and foam that splits or cracks. J-Foam is 10 times stronger than standard foam, so it is built to hold its shape for years of daily use. The Joey Mattress Hybrid also carries a 10-year warranty.
Is the Joey Mattress safe and free from harmful chemicals?
Yes. The foam in the original Joey Mattress is CertiPUR-US certified, which means it has been tested and made without heavy metals, phthalates and ozone depleters.
What sizes does the Joey Mattress come in?
The original Joey Mattress comes in 7 sizes, all 23cm (9 inches) thick: Single 91 x 190cm, Super Single 107 x 190cm, Queen 152 x 190cm, King 183 x 190cm, Super King 200 x 200cm, IKEA size 150 x 200cm and IKEA size 180 x 200cm. The Joey Mattress Hybrid comes in Single, Super Single, Queen and King, at 35.5cm (14 inches) thick for Plush and Medium, or 25.4cm (10 inches) for Firm.

The Joey Mattress Hybrid adds 100% pure Malaysian latex and memory foam for extra contouring, comes in three firmness levels (Plush, Medium and Firm) and starts from RM2,095. Which Joey Mattress Hybrid firmness should I choose?
Choose Plush if you sleep on your side or back and like a softer, cushioned feel with support at the waist. Medium suits every sleeping position and is the most popular choice. Choose Firm if you sleep on your back and want extra support for your lower back. The Joey Mattress Hybrid is only available at Mattress Makers showrooms, so you can lie on all three before you decide.
What is the best Joey mattress for side sleepers?
Side sleepers need a mattress that cushions the shoulders and hips while keeping the spine straight. The Joey Mattress Hybrid in Plush is made for this, with waist support that keeps your body aligned, and you can try it at any Mattress Makers showroom. The original Joey Mattress also suits side sleepers, because it moulds to your pressure points, and it is a good choice if you tend to sleep hot.
What is a good mattress under RM2,000 in Malaysia?
The original Joey Mattress starts from RM1,350. It is made in Malaysia with a 10-year warranty, a 99-night home trial and free delivery in West Malaysia, and you can spread the cost over up to 24 months with 0% interest instalments. If you want to improve your current bed for less, the Joey Mattress Topper starts from RM495.
Is a foam or hybrid mattress better for Malaysia's hot weather?
It depends on how warm you sleep. An all-foam mattress with an open-cell structure, like the original Joey Mattress, lets air move through it and has no memory foam to hold heat, so it is the better pick for hot sleepers. A hybrid mattress, like the Joey Mattress Hybrid, gives more contouring and a softer, more luxurious feel from latex and memory foam. If you sleep hot, start with the original Joey Mattress. If body-hugging comfort matters more, try the Hybrid.
Is the Joey Mattress good for couples?
Yes. The Joey Mattress absorbs movement, so when your partner turns over or gets out of bed, you won't feel it on your side. It also moulds to each body separately, which helps when two people have different weights or sleeping positions. For couples with a big weight difference, rotate the mattress head to foot every 3 to 6 months so it wears evenly.
How often should I replace my mattress?
Experts generally recommend replacing a mattress every 8 to 10 years. Signs it is time include a visible dip in the middle, waking up with aches, or sleeping better away from home. If your mattress is still in reasonable shape but feels too firm or too soft, a Joey Mattress Topper can give it a few more years of comfort.
Delivery and payment

How much is delivery for a Joey Mattress?
Delivery is free anywhere in West Malaysia. Delivery to East Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan) is chargeable, and the fee depends on what you order and whether it goes by air or sea. How long does Joey delivery take?
It depends on where you live and what you order. In the Klang Valley, scheduled delivery is available for the Joey Mattress, Sofa, Foldable Mattress, Topper, Baby Mattress and Bed Frame, so you can get these the next day or on a date you choose, subject to available slots. Other products in the Klang Valley are delivered by GDEX. For the rest of West Malaysia, delivery takes 1 to 5 working days after your order ships. For East Malaysia, mattresses take 5 to 9 days by air or 25 to 30 days by sea, and other products take 5 to 10 working days. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays.
Which courier will deliver my Joey order?
In the Klang Valley, our own delivery team brings the Joey Mattress, Topper, Foldable Mattress, Bed Frame, Sofa and Baby Mattress to you on a scheduled delivery. Everywhere else in West Malaysia, orders are delivered by GDEX. In East Malaysia, orders go by MTR (sea or air) or GDEX, depending on the item. Our East Malaysia shipping page at joeymattress.com/blogs/joey-mattress/east-malaysia-shipping shows which courier carries each product.
How do I track my Joey order?
If your order is shipped by GDEX or MTR, we'll email you a tracking number so you can follow your parcel on the courier's website. Klang Valley scheduled deliveries by our own team don't come with tracking, and the team will arrive within the time slot you picked. If you're unsure about your delivery status, email support@joeymattress.com with your order number and we'll check for you.
What payment methods does Joey accept?
Joey accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, debit cards, FPX online banking, 0% interest instalments of up to 24 months, Touch 'n Go eWallet (choose 2C2P at checkout), and ShopeePay and SPayLater when you check out on a mobile browser.
Can I buy Joey Mattress on Shopee or Lazada?
Yes. Joey has official stores on Shopee and Lazada, and marketplace orders come with the same 99-night home trial. To make a return, email support@joeymattress.com with your Shopee or Lazada username. For the latest prices and the full Joey range, visit joeymattress.com.
Can I order now and have it delivered later?
Yes. Many customers do this when they're moving house, renovating or travelling. Place your order, then contact our customer service team with your order number and let them know you'd like to postpone your delivery. They'll guide you from there.
Does Joey deliver on weekends?
Yes, on Saturdays for scheduled deliveries in the Klang Valley. Everywhere else, GDEX and MTR deliver from Monday to Friday. There are no deliveries on public holidays.
Do I need to be home when my mattress is delivered?
Yes, please be home, especially for bigger items. Use a working Malaysian phone number at checkout, as the driver will call when they arrive. A Joey Mattress weighs 18kg to 40kg depending on size, so a trolley or an extra pair of hands helps. For Klang Valley scheduled deliveries, our team brings the mattress, bed frame and sofa to your door in landed homes and buildings with a lift, while other products are left at the lobby of non-landed buildings. In the rest of West Malaysia and in East Malaysia, the courier delivers to the lobby if you live in a non-landed building.
My building has no lift. Can Joey still deliver to my door?
For Klang Valley scheduled deliveries, yes, up to the 5th floor. Carrying a mattress up the stairs costs RM10 per floor and a Joey Sofa costs RM30 per floor, paid to the driver on delivery. Please let us know before delivery day, as the driver may decline if they weren't told. We can't deliver above the 5th floor without a working lift. Outside the Klang Valley, the courier delivers to the lobby.
99-night home trial and returns
How the trial works, how to send something back and when your refund arrives.
How does the Joey 99-night home trial work?
You get 99 nights (about 3 months) to sleep on your Joey product at home, starting from the day you receive it. You pay upfront, in full or with 0% instalments of up to 24 months. Sleep on it for at least 30 nights so your body can adjust, and if it still isn't right, return it for a full refund as long as it's clean and undamaged. Are returns free at Joey?
Yes, in West Malaysia. We arrange the pickup and it costs you nothing. In East Malaysia, return shipping for large items (mattresses, sofas, toppers, foldable mattresses, bed frames and baby mattresses) is paid by the customer, while small items like pillows, blankets and bedsheets are free to return nationwide. How do I return my Joey Mattress?
Email support@joeymattress.com with your full name, order number and the product you want to return. If you bought through Shopee or Lazada, include your username instead of the order number. Our team will reply with the next steps and arrange the pickup.
Do I need to keep the box to return my mattress?
No, the blue box is optional for mattresses. Please keep the plastic wrapping from inside the box, as it keeps the mattress clean on the way back. For other Joey products, keep the product's own packaging, while the courier bag is optional. If you have thrown the packaging away, contact customer service and we will help.
When will I get my refund?
We inspect returned items on the nearest Friday after they reach our warehouse, and your refund is processed within 7 business days after that inspection. To check on a refund, email support@joeymattress.com with your order number.
What does Joey do with returned mattresses and products?
Every returned product goes through a hygiene and quality inspection and is then donated to people in need through our charity partners. Joey never resells returned products.
Why should I wait 30 nights before deciding on my mattress?
Your body needs time to adjust to a new sleep surface, especially if your old mattress was sagging or much softer or firmer. That is why we ask you to try the Joey Mattress for at least 30 nights before deciding. A sleep tracker can help you see how your sleep changes over those weeks.
Can I return just one piece of a set?
No. The Joey Bedsheet Set, Joey Cloud Bed Frame and Joey Sofa can only be returned as a complete set. If one piece is giving you trouble, contact our team and we will work it out with you.

What each Joey warranty covers and how to make a claim.
What does the Joey Mattress 10-year warranty cover?
The 10-year limited warranty covers sagging deeper than 1.5 inches (3.8cm) and physical flaws where the foam splits or cracks. It applies to the original buyer, when the mattress has been used as intended on a flat, supportive surface or a proper bed frame. Approved claims are repaired at our Sungai Buloh factory after inspection.
How long is the warranty on each Joey product?
Joey Mattress: 10 years. Joey Sofa: 5 years. Joey Mattress Topper, Joey Baby Mattress, Joey Pillow and Joey Cloud Bed Frame: 2 years. Joey Mattress Protector, Joey Baby Mattress Protector, Joey Blanket and Joey Bedsheet Set: 1 year. All are limited warranties.
What does the Joey Mattress Topper and Baby Mattress warranty cover?
The 2-year limited warranty covers visible indentations deeper than 1 inch (25mm) and foam that splits or cracks despite normal use and proper handling. The topper or baby mattress needs to sit on a flat, structurally sound surface for the warranty to apply.
What does the Joey Pillow warranty cover?
The 2-year limited warranty covers severe softening or breakdown of the latex core, and manufacturing defects in material or workmanship during normal use.
What do the Joey Sofa, bed frame, protector, blanket and bedsheet warranties cover?
These warranties cover defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials. The Joey Sofa is covered for 5 years, the Joey Cloud Bed Frame for 2 years, and the protectors, blanket and bedsheet set for 1 year. The full terms are in each product's warranty document.
How do I make a Joey warranty claim?

How long does the Joey Mattress take to expand after unboxing?
The Joey Mattress is ready to sleep on within minutes of unboxing. It reaches its full shape in 48 to 72 hours, and you can put your bedsheets on and sleep on it the same night.
How long can I keep the Joey Mattress in its box?
Up to 1 month from the day you receive it. The sooner you unbox it, the faster it expands. Leaving it compressed for longer than a month risks the foam not expanding properly.
Do I need to flip my Joey Mattress?
No, the Joey Mattress is a no-flip design. If you sleep alone, or share the bed with someone of quite a different weight, rotate it head to foot every 3 to 6 months so it wears evenly.
Will my Joey Mattress sag in the middle?
It is built not to. J-Foam is 10 times stronger than standard foam, and the Joey Mattress has a 10-year warranty against sagging deeper than 1.5 inches (3.8cm).
How much does the Joey Mattress weigh?

Will my existing bedsheets fit the Joey Mattress?
Most likely, yes. Every Joey Mattress is 23cm (9 inches) thick, so any fitted sheet made for 23cm or deeper mattresses in your size will fit. The Joey Bedsheet Set fits mattresses 23cm to 33cm thick.
How do I clean my Joey Mattress?
Spot clean stains with a slightly damp cloth and let the area air dry naturally. Never use a hair dryer on the mattress, as it is a fire hazard. For full protection from spills, use the waterproof Joey Mattress Protector.

What is the Joey Pillow made of?
The Joey Pillow is made of high-density, Grade-A natural Malaysian latex. It comes in two curvature heights, 10cm and 12cm, developed from more than 18 months of research with Malaysian sleepers. The latex moulds to your neck and shoulders and holds its shape longer than cotton-fill or memory foam pillows.
How do I clean the Joey Pillow?
Spot clean with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry naturally. Do not wash the pillow cover, because washing damages the latex inside.
Who should get the Joey Mattress Topper?
The Joey Mattress Topper suits anyone who wants a better bed without replacing the mattress: people with an old mattress, a bed that feels too firm or too soft, renters with a landlord's mattress, students in hostels, families with guest beds or double-decker beds, and anyone who wants to try Joey before committing to a full mattress.
What is the difference between the Joey Mattress Topper and the Joey Mattress?
Both have a similar feel and firmness. The Joey Mattress Topper is 6cm thick and sits on top of your existing bed to upgrade its comfort, while the Joey Mattress is 23cm thick and works on its own. The Joey Mattress also has zero-motion transfer technology, so you won't feel your partner move during the night. The Topper doesn't have this, but it's a lighter, more affordable way to get the Joey feel.
Can I use the Joey Mattress Topper on its own as a bed?
Yes. The Joey Mattress Topper is medium-firm, so it is comfortable on its own, and it comes with a 2-year warranty and the 99-night home trial. If you later upgrade to a Joey Mattress, the topper still works on top of it or as a spare bed.
What is the difference between a mattress topper and a mattress protector?
A mattress topper is a cushioned layer that changes how your bed feels. A mattress protector is a thin, waterproof layer that guards your mattress against spills and stains. They do different jobs, so many people use both together.
Will the Joey Mattress Protector make my bed hotter?
No. The Joey Mattress Protector uses a breathable, cooling protective film, the same kind of material used in sportswear, so it stays waterproof without trapping heat.
How do I wash the Joey Mattress Protector?
Wash it before first use. Hand wash, or machine wash on a delicate cycle in cold water (30°C or below) inside a laundry bag, using a mild liquid detergent and no fabric softener. Line dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry, bleach, dry clean or iron it.
What is the Joey Blanket made of and how do I wash it?
The Joey Blanket is a medium-weight 300gsm blanket made of 100% hypoallergenic polyester fibre, inside and out, and it can be used with or without a cover. Machine wash in cold water away from zips and rough fabrics, skip fabric softener and bleach, then tumble dry low or line dry. Wash it every 3 to 4 months with a cover, or every few weeks without one.
Will the Joey Bedsheet Set fit my mattress, and does it wrinkle?
The Joey Bedsheet Set comes in Single, Super Single, Queen and King, with a 35cm deep fitted sheet that fits mattresses 23cm to 33cm thick. It is made of natural bamboo fibre with no anti-wrinkle chemicals, so some wrinkling is normal. To keep it smooth, hang it to air dry or take it out of the dryer 10 minutes early and lay it flat.

What is the Joey Sofa made of?
The Joey Sofa has a corduroy fabric cover rated at 75,000 Martindale rubs, with cushions and mattress made of J-Foam Flex, a blended version of Joey's own foam produced at our Sungai Buloh factory. The foam is CertiPUR-US certified. The sofa weighs 52.66kg (gross) and has a 5-year limited warranty.
How long does the Joey Sofa take to expand?
The cushions and mattress are usable within minutes of unboxing and reach full shape in 48 to 72 hours. Give the cushions a good fluff by hand, since they are compressed for shipping.
Can I order Joey Sofa fabric swatches?
Yes. Each swatch is 8 x 8cm, limited to one per colour per order. Shipping is RM9 to West Malaysia and RM18 to East Malaysia. If you then buy the Joey Sofa, send customer service your swatch order number and we will refund the swatch shipping as a gift card for your sofa order.
How much weight can the Joey Cloud Bed Frame hold?
The Joey Cloud Bed Frame holds about 180kg to 200kg. The Hybrid Base weighs 21kg (Queen) or 23kg (King), and the Cloud Cover weighs 14kg (Queen) or 15kg (King). It has a 2-year limited warranty.
Why is my Joey Cloud Bed Frame squeaking?
Squeaking usually comes from a part that is not fitted tightly or a floor that is uneven. Tighten the parts and make sure the frame sits on a flat, solid surface. If it still squeaks, contact our team.
What age is the Joey Baby Mattress for?
The Joey Baby Mattress is for newborns, babies and toddlers up to 2 years old and under 110cm tall.
Is the Joey Baby Mattress safe for my baby?
The Joey Baby Mattress uses BB-Foam at firmness level 8.5, a firm, flat surface of the kind recommended for safe infant sleep, and it helps babies sleep flat on their backs before they learn to turn and sit. Its open-cell foam is highly breathable for Malaysia's warm climate, and it is CertiPUR-US certified.
Is the Joey Baby Mattress waterproof?
No, the Joey Baby Mattress itself is not waterproof. Pair it with the Joey Baby Mattress Protector, which is 100% waterproof and easier to remove and wash. Clean the mattress by wiping it with a damp cloth and diluted soap, then let it air dry.
Is the Joey Foldable Mattress good for daily use?
Yes. The Joey Foldable Mattress is made for everyday sleep, suits all sleeping positions and is thick enough that you won't feel the floor. It fits one person best. It also works for camping and outdoor use, with a waterproof sheet underneath to keep moisture out.
