How to care for the Joey Bedsheet Set [2022]
No-bullsheet sheets
If you're here, you've just invested in great bamboo bedsheets, way to go! These are made from CloudBamboo™️ (bamboo sateen) which is soft, comfortable, and airy.
On laundry day, follow these simple care instructions:
- Use a mesh washing bag
- Avoid fabric softeners
- Avoid putting clothing with zips or rough fabrics in the same wash cycle (fabric friction causes pilling issues!)
- Machine wash cold on the gentle cycle with similar fabrics
- Tumble dry on low, or reduce your carbon footprint and line dry!
- Do not use bleach
- Iron on low
Extra Care Tips
Avoiding wrinkly sheets - After washing, shake them out so there are no bunched up wet spots before tumble drying on low. Remove immediately after drying to minimise wrinkles. Or, spread it out when line drying.
Stained your Joey Bed Sheets? - Check what you have on hand and follow accordingly:
- Detergent: Add water to powder detergent and make into a paste (or use liquid detergent), gently rub it on the stain, soak for 1 hour, and wash
- Dish soap: Pre-wash the stained sheets with a mix of water and dish soap, then wash and add another cup of soap to the cycle
- Vinegar: Add 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water, soak the stain for a few minutes, and wash
- Baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate, ❌ baking powder): Add water to baking soda and make into a paste, gently rub it on the stain for a few minutes, and wash
Want these sheets to look great for extra-long? - Occasionally "rotate" the sheets after you wash them to avoid premature fabric sagging that sometimes happens due to constant pressure from sleeping in the same spot. The best way to do this is to put The Joey Corner (which is usually on the bottom left) on the top right every now and then.
Now that you're armed with these great care tips, go forth and enjoy great sleep with your new favourite bed sheets!
